Over the last six years, Reilly Sweeping recognized an area of service that we could provide. Upon doing so, we set a goal to have all employees enrolled and complete the TWIC process. By securing this clearance, it allows Reilly Sweeping to better serve our customers working at local ports throughout our service area.
The Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) program is required by the Maritime Transportation Security Act for workers who need access to secure areas of the nation’s maritime facilities and vessels.
The TWIC program functions as a protective shield against certain types of threats. The program provides workers with a specialized biometric tamper-resistant card. In order to obtain this card, a worker has to go through a rigorous application process.
Reilly Sweeping has chosen to enroll all employees in this program to provide customers with the best service possible involving local ports throughout our service area. This clearance allows our employees easy and quick access to secure facilities that require such credentials.
Reilly Sweeping works hard to vet employees into the TWIC program, as this helps those who need unescorted access to secure areas of port facilities, outer continental shelf facilities, and vessels regulated under the Maritime Transportation Security Act of 2002 (MTSA) and all U.S. Coast Guard credentialed merchant mariners.
